HCB 2204 Environmental Medicine and Clinical Assessment
This course focuses on the systematic evaluation of patients and the management of pathologies triggered by external and environmental factors. Students will master comprehensive Patient Assessment techniques, learning to perform detailed primary and secondary surveys to identify acute illnesses and injuries. The curriculum delivers critical training in Dermatology, enabling providers to recognize, differentiate, and treat various skin conditions, infections, and burns. Additionally, students will study Environmental medicine, gaining the skills necessary to prevent, identify, and manage heat- and cold related illnesses, altitude sickness, and toxicological exposures in diverse operational settings.
