DLBT 3302 Anatomical Sculpting and Reconstructive Artistry
This advanced course blends biomedical science with fine arts mastery to develop the critical sculpting skills essential for maxillofacial prosthetics. Students will analyze the complex morphological
characteristics, structural functions, and spatial relationships of the human ear (auricular) and nose (nasal) complexes. Using both wax and clay mediums, students will learn to sculpt high-fidelity full and partial anatomical replicas, matching contralateral symmetry, capturing subtle surface textures, and designing seamless prosthetic margins for patients with facial defects.
