NURS 5110 Advanced Health Assessment
In this course, students build on existing nursing assessment skills, learning how to tailor history taking and physical examination for different populations across the lifespan. Focused and comprehensive assessments are tailored to the chief complaint, developmental stage, and cultural context with a strong emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. A combination of classroom, laboratory and simulation encounters are used to help students develop these critical skills.
