HPE 608 Meet the Experts

The purpose of this course is to provide students the opportunity to discuss seminal research and the implicit rules and best practices in academia with HPE renowned international scholars. The experts will describe their research, research techniques, process of publication and the hidden rules of academia, and their other accomplishments in a personal context that offers participants a behind-the-scenes look at factors influencing their work.

Learning Objectives

1. Examine seminal and/or cutting-edge work in the HPE field and interact with the author.
2. Create relationships with senior scholars in the HPE field through discussing ideas, asking questions, and networking with experts in the field.
3. Probe experts’ thought-processes and approach to their research and publication.
