ORPT 712 Surgical Orthodontics
This course is designed to instruct the student in the treatment of patients with skeletal disharmonies for which surgical movement of the jaws is a necessary adjunctive procedure. The oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontic faculties emphasize diagnosis, treatment planning, philosophies of treatment, treatment limitations, orthodontic preparation for surgery, model surgery, VTO surgical predictions, complications, and post-treatment patient management.
