ORPT 796 Principles of Occlusion
Lectures on occlusion-oriented-treatment goals are given by an orthodontic faculty member with guest presentations by a prosthodontic faculty member. Laboratory exercises and seminars on the types of occlusion, ideal occlusal goals, tooth positions, cusp placement, and centric prematurities are given. Diagnostic mounting for occlusal and esthetic analysis is presented, which includes: face bow transfer, inter-occlusal bite registration, hinge-axis recording, and mandibular movements.
