DLBT 2109 Specialized Dental Devices
This course provides didactic and practical engagement in the fabrication of various oral devices. Students will be assessed on practical applications, including the fabrication of an implant guide and an immediate transitional RPD. The curriculum also offers exposure to digital technology, focusing on optimal digital workflows using the latest software for 3D printing and CAD/CAM technologies. A fundamental goal is to equip students with the knowledge of service-unique requirements in dental laboratory practices, enabling them to function as highly competent dental laboratory technicians with limited assistance.
