SUR 4750 Neurosurgery

The purpose of this elective rotation is to provide experience with the practice of neurological surgery in both the inpatient and outpatient environment. Students receive exposure to evaluating patients with a variety of neurological complaints, in order to enhance skills in performing neurological exams, and in formulating/evaluating appropriate differential diagnostic possibilities. The goal of this course is to prepare students interested in both neurosurgery and primary care with the opportunity to experience the specialty in preparation for internship and residency.
