Students will be expected to demonstrate a detailed understanding of the evaluation, medical, and surgical management of both common and complex problems in the practice of neurosurgery. Sub-interns will be expected to participate in the care of their patients at the intern level, including a requirement for call at the frequency of the most junior resident on the service. The goal of this course is to prepare students interested in both neurosurgery and primary care with the opportunity to experience the specialty in preparation for internship and residency.
