PSY 4490 Neuropsychiatry Elective
This is an inpatient rotation, with some work and meetings on Ward 7E at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE). Students participate in teaching rounds, conferences, lectures/seminars under the supervision of WRNMMC Psychiatry faculty in the evaluation and management of adult patients with neuropsychiatric conditions such as traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and others. Differential diagnoses and treatment planning will be emphasized. 4th year students will be given more responsibility and independence than students on a clerkship-level rotation at this site.

Prep: successful completion of the Clerkship-level rotation
