Prosthodontics - Masters of Science (MS) in Prosthodontics

Overview

Prosthodontics: The Prosthodontics Residency program provides highly trained officers and Prosthodontists to provide care to ensure Dental Readiness. Graduates support the Services’ warfighting missions by employing a specialized skillset to handle the most complicated restorative needs of the US military population. Curriculum emphasis includes comprehensive training in the diagnosis, treatment planning and prosthetic rehabilitation of patients with complex needs in the areas of fixed, removable, implant and surgical prosthodontics resulting from missing teeth, oral structures and/or severely worn or debilitated dentitions. Graduates learn to utilize the full array of digital and classic planning and restorative techniques to master multidisciplinary management of the most complex oral treatment needs. Completion of this training will fully prepare the graduate to achieve specialty certification from the American Board of Prosthodontics (ABP). Graduates are assigned to installations worldwide in positions involving a combination of clinical, education, mentoring and laboratory activities in the field of prosthodontics.
