Comprehensive Dentistry: The Two-Year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency prepares military dental officers to provide multidisciplinary dental treatment capabilities ensuring the oral health and readiness of the warfighter. The program consists of a 24-month comprehensive curriculum and includes instruction/experiences in all dental disciplines. Formal presentations, instruction, seminars, literature reviews, demonstrations and first-hand clinical experience are provided to the residents. Overall, the program provides training in the clinical, instructional and investigative aspects of the profession to include dental readiness in order to develop military leaders and versatile clinicians who are force multipliers in-garrison or first line deployers to austere environments.
