FKA 110 Comprehensive Care Cases
The course objective is completion of comprehensive cases which successfully restore patient comfort, function, phonetics, and esthetics. Residents develop a written findings/problem list, treatment plan overview, and phased treatment plan for each case which is reviewed by the teaching staff. Residents will give an oral presentation to foster group discussion of case management of multidisciplinary treatment. In the clinic, residents collect the necessary data required to develop an oral diagnosis as well as the findings/problem list, treatment plan overview, and phased treatment plan. Once this requirement is met, definitive treatment commences and is carried through to completion under direct supervision of the faculty. Residents gain advanced instruction and clinical experience in virtually all disciplines of dentistry as they navigate through their comprehensive cases over two years.
