FKA 122 Dental Materials Technology
The dental materials component of the twenty-four month AEGD residency program consists of lectures covering all of the major materials used in restorative dentistry. Lecture topics include physical properties, impression materials, cements, gypsum, polymer science, denture resins, ceramics and noble metals. Dental materials lectures that are covered in the operative dentistry portion of the residency include polymerization, light curing, dentin bonding agents, tooth-colored restoratives, dental amalgam and dental amalgam safety.
