FKA 121 Pediatric Dentistry
The Pediatric Dentistry portion of the twenty-four month AEGD residency program consists of didactic and clinical instruction in preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, behavior management, growth and development, and interceptive orthodontics for the child patient. Lecture topics include: Behavior Management, Preventive Dentistry/Fluorides, Primary Dental Trauma, Permanent Dentition Dental Trauma, Oral Pathology of the Child, Nitrous Oxide, Cariology, Hospital Dentistry and Interceptive Orthodontics. Literature reviews are conducted in conjunction with the seminars. The curriculum consists of 20 lecture hours and 102 hours of clinical instruction in the clinic and hospital setting.
