HCB 2301 Hemorrhage Control and Fluid Resuscitation
This course provides students with foundational knowledge and skills in managing life-threatening hemorrhage and shock. Students will develop an understanding of the cardiovascular system, learn to recognize and manage hemorrhagic shock, and practice essential techniques for controlling bleeding. The curriculum includes basic hemorrhage control methods, such as tourniquet application, wound packing, and pressure dressings. Students will also gain proficiency in establishing peripheral intravenous (IV) access and administering fluids. This course is designed for students pursuing entry-level careers in healthcare, such as emergency medical technicians or medical assistants.
