NURS 6210 Medical Facility Design: Maximizing Patient Outcomes
This course introduces the complexities of new build and renovation facility design projects. Students will explore the evidence related to facility design, including building codes and architectural requirements, while promoting a healthy environment for patients and staff. Students will use critical thinking skills to navigate inter-professional issues and promote a team approach to evidence-based healthcare facility design. Students will participate in comprehensive learning classroom and field experiences, exposing them to LEED healthcare facility design and its impact on patient outcomes.
