NURS 6230 Practicum for CNS Practice II: Advanced Concepts for CNS Independent Practice
In this clinical capstone and immersion course, students demonstrate Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) competencies across all three spheres of influence. Students integrate evidence into clinical practice and interact within a system to enhance outcomes for the adult and geriatric populations. Through specialized clinical experiences, students critique the delivery of care, identify opportunities for process improvements, analyze healthcare systems/processes, and promote change for organizational success in providing evidence-based/quality patient care. Ultimately, students demonstrate the magnitude of the CNS's impact and value to the patient, healthcare team, and organization.
