NURS 6610 Advanced Diagnosis & Management in Embryology, Gynecology & Obstetrical Care
This course expands on the role of nurse practitioners in the advanced provision of primary care to women across the life cycle with emphasis on conditions from menarche through the remainder of the life cycle. Recognition and management of common gynecologic and reproductive conditions are examined in the context of population health. Embryologic development will be discussed. Students will develop plans of care that include screening and appropriate referral of high-risk conditions. Management of gynecologic & obstetric issues unique to women in deployed, humanitarian and austere conditions are emphasized.
