SUR 4510 Pediatric Surgery

The purpose of this elective rotation is to provide the rotating student with exposure to various aspects of pediatric surgical care in both the inpatient and outpatient environment. This includes experience with the evaluation, medical, and surgical management of both common and complex problems in the practice of the surgical care of infants and children. The goal of this course is to prepare both students interested in general surgery, pediatrics, and primary care with the opportunity to experience the specialty in preparation for internship and residency.
